What is a Subluxation?

A subluxation is a misalignment or biomechanical malfunctioning of a vertebra (the bones of the spine).  These disturbances can irritate parts of your nervous system which can cause neurologic imbalances in the normal body processes.  Because of the direct relationship between the spine and your nervous system, these subluxations can impair nerve function and reduce communication within your body and jeopardize the overall health and wellness of the individual.  Subluxations can occur in your spine through macro traumas (car accident, slips or falls, sports injury, etc.) or micro traumas (repetitive stress, poor posture, poor ergonomic support, etc.).  Through our thorough examination process which includes: range of motion studies, neurological testing, palpation examination, orthopedic testing, and x-ray analysis, we are able to detect and correct these subluxations to restore function and thus restore health and well-being to the individual.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "How can I tell people the difference. I have been to acupuncturists, massage therapists, shamans, medical doctors and chiropractors. Nothing is like what Long Chiropractic has done for me. The freedom from pain, freedom from muscle spasms, the freedom to sleep all night. Yes, my highest recommendation."
